Oracle Finance Systems Lead

We are looking for an Oracle Finance Systems Lead to support financial operations within a complex, research-driven organisation. You will work closely with finance teams, project managers, and key stakeholders to manage funding, compliance, and reporting across large-scale research grants and consultancy contracts. This role will involve supporting Oracle Cloud ERP Finance & Project Portfolio Management (PPM) systems to enhance financial oversight and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial management of research grants & project funding, ensuring compliance with funding body regulations

• Support Oracle Cloud ERP Finance & PPM modules, assisting with system improvements and reporting

• Act as a finance business partner, providing insights on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for research and consultancy projects

• Develop financial models, reports, and dashboards to improve financial controls and transparency

• Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, research administration, and IT to enhance processes and workflows

• Ensure compliance with internal, external, and regulatory audits related to research funding and project finance

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP (Finance & PPM/Grants Management) or similar finance systems

• Strong background in financial management of research grants & funded projects (e.g., government, industry, charitable funding)

• Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments

• Excellent stakeholder engagement & business partnering skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting capabilities

Desirable Skills

• Experience with alternative Finance ERP systems (Agresso, WorkTribe, PURE, SAP, etc.)

• Understanding of grant funding processes & compliance regulations

• Knowledge of multi-currency project accounting
