Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer (Google Cloud Platform)

My client is looking for a Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of their Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. This key role will drive the migration from third-party data centers to GCP and ensure smooth integration with existing IT systems.

You will work closely with senior leadership to design scalable, secure cloud solutions and provide 3rd/4th line support. Your responsibilities will also include mentoring junior engineers, optimising cloud costs, and implementing best practices for security and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead GCP migration and design secure, scalable cloud architectures.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and automate cloud tasks.
• Ensure cloud security, compliance, and cost optimisation.
• Provide 3rd/4th line support and mentor junior engineers.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong experience with GCP architecture, migrations, and security.
• Proficiency in Terraform and cloud networking.
• Excellent troubleshooting and cross-team communication skills.
• Passionate about cloud technology and innovation.
