Software Test Engineer

We at Work Lyf Group, we are recruiting for a Software Test Engineer for our client in the Aviation industry. This is a fixed term contract for 9 months, with a possible extension. Hybrid working role, with a minimum of two days in the office. Please do not apply if you live more than one hour drive away from Stoke-on-Trent.

Essential

Higher level qualification (NVQ Level 5 equivalent) in Computer Science or relevant engineering subject

3+ years of experience in testing, with a strong understanding of SQA process and methods.

Experience in developing test cases test procedures and compiling readable test results

Experience with test scripting tools, analysis and modelling software, scanning tools within a Linux environment.

Experience of working to ISO ISO9001 & 90003

Experience within regulated industries such as aviation, defence, medical, nuclear, automotive/ transport,

Experience of engineering real time/ runtime control or simulation software

Desirable

Experience in software safety and integrity assurance standards (DO-278A, ED-153, ED-109).

Understanding of software development lifecycle, configuration management, and development tools.

Experience of Linux, Virtual Box, Wireshark

Experience in programming languages C, C++, QT.

Experience with test scripting tools, analysis and modelling software, scanning tools.

Experience with the UK CAA and a track record within the aviation industry.

Experience of ATC CNS Systems.

37.5 hours per week

9-12 month contract
