Role: DBA - Azure SQL

Location: Hybrid - mainly home based with very occasional travel to HQ in the South of the UK.

Salary: 38,000 + a comprehensive range of Employee Benefits.

Why Apply: This role joins an existing DBA Team working on the enhancement of a range of Applications and their associated API's in a large UK Police Force. The DBA will carry out BAU tasks includes investigating data issues, data manipulation, back-up, availability, capacity, storage etc, as well as project-based tasks around the transition to the new DevOps platform and support the transition away from Oracle to Azure SQL.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Essential:

  • 2+ years DBA experience surrounding investigating data issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise confidently across the team and stakeholders
  • Azure SQL experience
  • Certified in MS SQL 2016/2019 and experience with SQL as a Service, (subscription based)

Desirable:

  • Any Oracle DBMS experience would be highly desirable
  • Experience gained in a highly regulated sector such as Emergency Services or Financial Services such as Banking

You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have lived and worked in the UK for the last 5 years in order to meet the security vetting required for this role
