Lead Java Developer | Contract 6 + Months (Inside IR35) Hybrid - City of London - £750 per day

We are in search of a Lead Java Developer to lead the design and implementation of scalable applications within this large bank and help mentor junior team members

Responsibilities:

• Our client is enhancing their existing systems and applications which requires developing new features to meet evolving business requirements, improving systems to address additional needs and sometimes providing resolutions for L3 tickets too.
• Lead the development of high-performance applications using Java and related technologies.
• Mentor and guide junior developers in best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

The Senior Java Developer will be required to possess the following skills & experience:

• Extensive experience in Java and strong knowledge of the Spring framework and Microservices.
• Proficient in AWS services for application deployment and management.
• Solid understanding of build tools like Maven and Gradle, along with JPA and JMS.
• Strong unit testing skills with Junit and experience with CI/CD tools such as Bamboo and Stash.
• Expertise in using IntelliJ as the primary development environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Should be strong in analytical skill and self sufficient
• It would be a bonus if the Java Developer has any exposure to Kubernates, Splunk and SonarQube
