The Role We are looking for a motivated and self-starting IT Support Specialist to join our IT Operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience providing both in-office and cloud-based IT support, ensuring seamless operations across all technology platforms. Experience with Microsoft Office 365, including Teams Phone System, is highly desirable. This role is critical to maintaining productivity, supporting end users, and ensuring the smooth running of IT systems across the organization. Key responsibilities Provide technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues for onsite and remote employees Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktop systems, laptops, printers, and other office IT equipment Assist users with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive Manage and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Teams Phone System Assist with the configuration and troubleshooting of Teams telephony, including call routing and device setup Collaborate with vendors or external support as needed for advanced Teams Phone System issues o Perform basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity issues, Wi-Fi configuration, and VPN support Set up user accounts, hardware, and access to necessary tools for new employees o Decommission and secure IT equipment and accounts for departing staff in compliance with organizational policies Follow security best practices to ensure the protection of corporate systems and data Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patches for supported devices and systems Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and system configurations Create and update user guides and provide training to end users as needed Key skills & Requirements Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of experience in an IT support role, providing both hardware and software support, including experience with Intune MDM for managing and troubleshooting device compliance Experience with Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) for supporting and troubleshooting end-user compliance issues Proficiency with Microsoft 365 services, including Teams and Teams Phone System (experience configuring call routing and devices is an asset) Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking Experience with troubleshooting hardware issues for desktops, laptops, and peripherals Familiarity with Active Directory and Azure AD for user management Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist non-technical users Self-motivated and able to work independently, managing multiple tasks and priorities Eagerness to learn new technologies and take initiative in solving complex challenges Job Type: Fixed term contract Contract length: 12 months Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year Benefits: Casual dress Company events Company pension On-site parking Work from home Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday No weekends Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred) Experience: Technical support: 2 years (required) Work Location: In person Application deadline: 31/01/2025 Reference ID: ITSUK | |
