Python/Django Developer

Remote/Outside IR35

We are looking for a skilled Python/Django Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Python and Django, and be familiar with Agile methodologies. A strong understanding of full-stack development and relevant technologies is highly desirable.

Required Skills:
  • Python 3.6: Proficiency in Python programming, with a solid understanding of its syntax, libraries, and best practices.
  • Django 5: Strong experience with Django framework for web development and building scalable web applications.
  • Agile Ways of Working: Ability to work in an Agile environment, understanding of Agile principles and processes.
Desirable Skills:
  • Wagtail 6.2 (Full Stack): Experience with Wagtail CMS for full-stack development, including Front End and Back End integration.
  • AWS: Familiarity with AWS services, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure.
  • PostgreSQL: Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL for database design, management, and query optimization.
  • CSS, Tailwind: Proficiency in Front End development using CSS, with an understanding of the Tailwind framework for building responsive, modern UIs.
  • Kanban, Scrum: Experience working in Kanban or Scrum frameworks, contributing to an efficient and collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Python and Django.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products.
  • Ensure code quality, best practices, and efficient application performance.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain and optimize databases and Server Side code.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the web applications using Wagtail, AWS, and modern Front End technologies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, etc.).
