As a memberof the Health, Safety, Environment and Security Team, thisrole is responsible for delivering physical security, standards and complianceoversight , ensuringdesign and implementation of new facilities aredesigned based on criticality of the assets and understanding ofthe threat .

KeyResponsibilities

  • Manage and co-ordinate Security Aspects Letters andoversee relationship with Industry Security AssuranceCentre.
  • Ensure thatoperational design elements are built into programmes where NPL isincreasing its security posture, based on current and future threatvectors.
  • Provide governance and oversight ofphysical security standards to NPL's secure facilities and criticalassets.
  • Plan, deliver &review internal security assurance audits to identifynon-compliance, across physical security making practicalrecommendations.
  • Conduct securityinvestigations where vulnerabilities or procedural failings areidentified and collate and present statistical data to monitorstandards and develop improvementInitiatives.
  • Build and maintainexcellent relationships with internal and external stakeholdersincluding the wider security team, estates, third partycontractors, contracting authorities and relevant governmentagencies.
  • Develop operationalprocedures to address gaps in security performance in line with theNPL security strategy.
  • Report andcommunicate non-compliance and provide guidance and support tocomply.
  • Monitor updates inlikely threat vectors to NPL's interests. Develop and maintain aknowledge base of threat actor modes of operation and indicators& warnings to inform risk managementstrategies.
  • Maintain currencyon physical security standards, methodologies and market leadingtechnical products and infrastructure whilst delivering return oninvestment to the business.
  • Responsible for taking reasonable duty of care forHealth & Safety of themselves and of other persons who may beaffected by their acts or omissions at work and always followdirect instructions given with regards to Health &Safety.
