Job Advert: Lead Platform Engineer (Hybrid - Remote - 1 day per week on site)

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Platform Engineer to take ownership of cloud platform strategy and infrastructure development.

As Lead Platform Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable infrastructure, remaining hands-on with modern Azure technologies while mentoring a growing team. Key Responsibilities:

• Define and deliver the strategy and architecture for a cloud-based platform.
• Design and maintain automated, secure, and scalable infrastructure using Azure technologies.
• Collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to establish platform standards.
• Lead by example with hands-on involvement in coding, IaC, and DevOps pipelines.
• Guide and mentor team members, supporting their professional development.
• Ensure the platform is robust, secure, and capable of meeting scaling demands.
• Identify and adopt new technologies to drive continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience working with Azure, including complex network architectures.
• Expertise in infrastructure automation tools like Terraform or Bicep and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring tools within cloud environments.
• Bonus: Familiarity with languages like Node.js, TypeScript, or C#/.NET.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work collaboratively across teams.
