Java Developer

Synapri are working with a leading Public Sector Organisation to hire an experienced Senior Java Developer on an Inside IR35 basis for an initial 6 month period. This role will require travel to the Leeds office 1-2 times per week.

Our client are looking for people experienced with ensuring best practices are adhered to across the department and guiding teams on how to deliver quality software products. You will assist in the design of software products that make up citizen services in collaboration with Architecture and Engineering principles. With a focus on operational stability, robustness, resilience, availability and quality you will be accountable for the code your teams produce.

The key responsibilities will include:

• Designing leading the strategies for building reusable libraries and services
• Providing 3rd line support on products developed
• Contribution to the design of the overall strategic vision

The key skills required are:

• 5+ years Java experience
• SQL database management
• Spring Framework experience
• API design and open standards

This role requires active SC or DV clearance (used in a role within the last 12 months). Prior experience within the public sector is desirable.
