(40% of the working week to be in the office). Purpose of the role This role will lead the negotiations with other government departments for continued funding for the RIO research team. This includes the development of alternative research pathways and their associated costings. To represent our interests in the construction of a collaborative bid for future funding when the current Shared Outcomes Funding ends in March 2025. Qualifications Required An undergraduate degree at a minimum 2:2 with substantial research methods training or an undergraduate degree at a minimum 2:2 in any subject or a degree equivalent plus at least 4 years of social research experience Or A first- or second-class honours degree in a numerate discipline, computer science or IT equivalent which demonstrates core statistical skills Or A higher degree e.g. MSc involving research and statistics Skills and Experience Required Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex analysis to non-specialists and contribute effectively to stakeholders Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships to achieve specified goals Horizon-scanning to anticipate emerging user needs Behaviours Leadership- Managing a quality service, Seeing the big picture Technical- Acquiring data/ understanding user needs | |
