Digital Products Developer

Location: Poole / Hybrid

Insync Insurance, a leading part of Brown & Brown Europe, are looking to recruit a Digital Products Developer to join their team.

In this role you will assist the Digital Products Manager in helping to configure, develop, implement, test and manage our quote and buy websites, ensuring all delegated tasks are fulfilled within the specified timescales. You will be developing brand new websites as well as maintaining existing ones.

ABOUT YOU:

The ideal candidate will have a background in software development and be highly logical and analytical in their approach to tasks. Coding experience in Python is essential, while SQL, HTML and CSS are desirable. The candidate will be familiar with working from agile project management software and experienced in version-controlled code deployments.

Duties will include:

  • Work under the direction of the Digital Products Manager to plan, configure and manage quote and buy websites on insurance specific SaaS application, ICE.
  • Be responsible for your own workload as delegated from the Digital Products Manager.
  • Work to tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment to ensure product builds are delivered in line with business objectives.
  • Work with internal stakeholder to ensure product test plans are executed effectively.
  • Assist in developing and managing automation workflows to ensure Marketing, Sales and Customer experience is maximised.
  • Assist in building and monitoring SQL reports to ensure digital products are producing a positive ROI
  • Assist in troubleshooting, debugging and upgrading current software
  • Work to industry standard and best practice in coding, version control and bug tracking

Requirements:

  • Background in software development / coding / systems configuration / software engineering / mathematics
  • Highly process driven and analytical with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Python
  • 2 years' experience in a software development role
  • A degree or A Level/equivalent qualification in computing / IT / maths
  • Experience with Salesforce would be beneficial
