Network Technical Architect (Security Clearance essential)

We are looking for a Network Technical Architect for a 12 Month contract based in Bristol (Hybrid, 2 times per week in the office) on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.

Purpose of the Role:

As Network Technical Architect you will be responsible for oversight of the design and implementation of network solutions across projects within the Portfolio. The architect will work with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Lead Architects to enable solutions to be developed to meet business requirements.

As a Network Technical Architect (Security Clearance essential) you will be responsible for:

• Provide oversight and guidance for network solutions delivered within the Programme working with internal teams and 3rd party suppliers.
• Understand business requirements and work within a team of architects to deliver solutions that meet the business requirements, focusing on the network elements of the solution.
• Work with the Programme Lead Architect to ensure that network solutions are aligned to current and emerging enterprise patterns and standards.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on networking best practices.
• Ensure that governance processes relating to the network architecture are followed.

What we require from the candidate:

• Demonstrable network architecture experience, ideally within the defence sector (or a secure environment).
• Experienced in the architecture, design, build and operation of network solution including, but not limited to WAN, LAN, datacentre and network technologies in secure environments.
• Experienced working with 3rd party suppliers and ensuring that solutions delivered align with architecture standards and policies.
• Experienced in network security including NDR, EDR, XDR, Firewalls, crypto devices and NAC.
• An understanding of the MOD Secure by Design approach would be beneficial.
• Experience of working in a complex business environment working with multiple stakeholders and teams.
