Full Stack Software Engineer (FinTech / Start-up) Hyre AI is hiring for a Full Stack Software Engineer on behalf of a fast-paced, ambitious early startup based in London, tackling the critical challenge of APP scams. If you re excited by impactful work, solving tough problems, and wearing a few different hats along the way, then this role might just be for you! Skills & Experience You'll Need: - Experience: Ideally, you ve earned your skills through 5+ years of experience, working on strategic, hands-on projects and managing your workload independently.
- Programming Languages: You re experienced in both front-end and back-end development. Our clients are tech agnostic - the tools you ve used before matters less than your ability to choose the right one for the task. We'd value languages including React, Typescript, Javascript on the Front end, and Java, Python, Rust, Scala, Go on the back-end - though we don't expect candidates to have experience with all of them.
- Infrastructure: You ve worked with cloud tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm, as well as cloud providers like AWS or GCP.
- Security: You re familiar with best practices for safeguarding against vulnerabilities like injections, XSS, CSRF. You believe security is a priority from day one.
- Accessibility: You design with inclusivity in mind, building systems that work for everyone, regardless of ability.
- Industry Knowledge: Fintech or banking is a strong plus, however we re also keen on hearing from candidates who ve worked on large-scale systems handling sensitive data in any industry.
What You ll Be Doing: - Building scalable, secure full-stack applications and services that integrate with customers' systems to fight scams effectively.
- Designing and implementing elegant, scalable RESTful APIs.
- Developing responsive, intuitive front-end interfaces using modern frameworks and libraries.
- Taking part in shaping our client's technical and cultural foundations whether it s setting standards, choosing tools, reviewing code, or fostering collaboration.
- Championing security best practices and ensuring sensitive data is handled with care.
- Advocating for accessible design principles to create inclusive systems.
- Setting up and maintaining automated testing and CI/CD pipelines to ensure high-quality, seamless deployments.
Location: - This role is based in Covent Garden, London, 3-days per week on-site.
