Looking for a new dev role with a front-end focus where you can work on greenfield projects on a mainly remote basis? Due to a promotion within the team, we are looking for a Senior Developer to join a Swansea based tech company. They really have a great dynamic so you will be joining a nurturing and friendly culture.

About you

  • Your strength will be front end development using React, but you ll be able to get by on the back end (Java/Spring).
  • Ideally, you ll be a senior engineer, but we are open to strong mid-level engineers who want to take the next step in their career.
  • You ll come from a collaborative background and enjoy working with other teams, sharing ideas and knowledge. Coming from an isolated team who don t collaborate would not be a good fit for this role.
  • Insurance experience would be ideal, but the L&D team can ensure you re crossed trained to this sector in days if not.
  • As a Senior Engineer, coaching and mentoring the more junior members of the team is integral.

About the role:

  • We are looking for an experienced developer to build and maintain bespoke robust and scalable web applications.
  • You will be a key technical member of the team responsible for designing solutions aligned to business requirements using the appropriate design patterns.
  • They are currently on-premise with plans to migrate to Azure; cloud migration experience would be beneficial. Experience of cloud deployments to Azure is essential.
  • This role involves delivering new bespoke solutions and BAU change, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of strategies are aligned with business objectives.
  • You will be hands on with the cloud migration with support from the cloud platform engineering team.
