Business Development Manager (Government/MoD) - Mostly Remote (Home Counties) - To 85K + Commission

Mostly remote - Looking for candidates in the Home Counties for client reach

Candidates must have a background in SaaS/Software/Technical Sales and previous workings with Government bodies / Ministries / ideally MoD to be considered

Lorien's client, a leading provider of key software solutions in the identity space, is looking to bolster their existing success and bring on new talent in the form of a Business Development Manager. You'll work as part of an organisation with personnel up and down the UK, and be the face of the company as they focus on expanding their reach in the their Government and MoD focused branches.

You can expect to work closely with the CEO, and use your enthusiasm and drive to expand business in your area, galvanising productive relationships with new customers, and help to hone the wider internal processes, sales strategies and function as you go.

You can expect to:

  • Push for new business and exceed sales targets set
  • Coordinate bids/proposals and drive business discussions into positive results
  • Manage and grow accounts
  • Liaise with internal teams to coordinate marketing campaigns/events
  • Develop and adapt the sales strategy as well as general processes as you work
  • Growing your own client base and converting leads to new customers
  • Drafting contracts making sure they follow agreed internal guidelines and policy

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Track record in the Business Development / Sales domains in a SaaS / Software focused work setting
  • Strong background of successful BD delivery with government bodies / ministries / ideally the Ministry of Defence
  • Ability to sell products to personnel at any level
  • Strong sales-oriented mindset and strategy as well as knowledge of relevant processes
  • Ability to learn technical concepts and get to grips with software offerings being sold
  • Security Clearance or eligibility to secure it
