Description: Infrastructure Support Lead Permanent Hybrid Manchester - Up to £50,000

Uneek has partnered with a key client specialising in utilities to help scale up its technology team. They are massive players in the energy sector and are looking for a Infrastructure Support Lead to help assist them in this growth. They are looking for someone who is keen to learn and will take ownership of their position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate a team of engineers across multiple shifts to ensure consistent coverage and responsiveness.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for technical and operational issues within the cloud infrastructure.
  • Drive key technical projects aimed at enhancing system performance, infrastructure efficiency, and operational stability.
  • Support cross-team initiatives, collaborating closely with other departments to align infrastructure projects with business goals.
  • Contribute to R&D efforts aimed at identifying and implementing improvements in cloud infrastructure.
  • Evaluate new technologies and practices to enhance system performance and better meet evolving client needs.
  • Monitor and maintain infrastructure performance, ensuring compliance with SLAs and regulatory standards, including ISO27001.
  • Provide expert technical guidance on complex issues and support incident resolution processes.
  • Create and maintain documentation for procedures, configurations, and incident resolution processes.
  • Ensure adherence to change management and control procedures, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.


Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing a technical support team in a cloud infrastructure environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Strong experience in 2nd and 3rd Line Support, with expertise in incident management.
  • Proficient with infrastructure monitoring tools and incident ticketing systems.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory and industry standards, particularly ISO27001 compliance.
