Job Description:
Our client is looking for a 1st Line Field Engineer to join their Managed Services team in assisting over 20 schools with IT support. You will be visiting different educational trusts, all situated within a 45 minute drive of their office ion North London, a driving licence and access to own car is required (mileage paid). Phone, email and remote support will also be provided to ensure all issues are resolved quickly and efficiently. Responsibilities:
On-site visits to various schools providing IT support to staff and students
Maintaining, updating and upgrading school's infrastructure
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
Install and monitor computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
Assist with the setup and maintenance of computers and other IT equipment
Monitor and manage user access rights
Research and recommend hardware and software solutions to improve the system
Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of IT documentation Technical and personable skill requirements:
Understanding of Networking
Active Directory, Backup Solutions
Office 365 management
SharePoint
MDM Setups via Intune or other(s)
Cloud Support - Azure/AWS
Network protocols - DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
Router/Switch setups, firewall management
Driving Licence / Access to own car Highly Desired:
Previous experience working in a school/education environment
MSP Experience
