Description: Piper Maddox is thrilled to partner with one of the foremost pioneers in the eVTOL aircraft industry, embarking on a mission to recruit a Systems Engineer to support the Electric Motor strategy. This pivotal role will encompass the entire spectrum of Systems Engineering and require you to be the focal point for all interacting systems, making sure requirements are correctly set and the development procedures are in place to enable type certification. As Systems Engineer for Electric Motors, you will:

Collaborate with various cross-functional teams including Mechanical, Electrical and software
Define and implement system-level requirements, ensuring they meet aerospace standards and align with client needs.
Oversee verification and validation processes for motor systems by creating test plans, conducting tests, and evaluating data to confirm system functionality and safety.
Work with external suppliers to oversee the development and integration of motor components, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality benchmarks.
Perform in-depth technical evaluations of supplier documents, including requirements specifications, design outlines, and testing procedures.
Partner with internal teams to identify and resolve system-level challenges, utilising sound engineering principles.
Support the refinement of system engineering practices, tools, and methodologies, specifically for aerospace motor systems.
Keep current with developments in aerospace standards, regulations, and industry best practices, integrating relevant updates to advance motor system development.

We are looking for:

Proven experience in Systems Engineering positions, with Electric motor focused projects
Familiar with aircraft regulations and certification standards (or experience with equivalent)
Experience with verification and validation activities for safety critical systems, preferably within the Aerospace domain
Comfortable with technically leading suppliers and working in fast-paced environments
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multi-faceted projects effectively
