Network Designer - Defence Sector - Solihull - 60k - 65k + car allowance + bonus

Solihull (Hybrid)

60k - 65k + 6k car allowance + bonus

A global IT consultancy are looking for a Network Designer to join their Defence and National Security practice. You will work closely with a project team to design and implement network solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Your duties will include:

Designing and configuring network architectures using technologies from global vendors such as Cisco and Juniper

Producing high-quality technical documentation for delivery and solution support

Troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring effective handover to service

Supporting project teams in their milestone deliverables

Due to the nature of the end clients you will need to go through SC Clearance

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Strong technical networking knowledge, including industry-recognized certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIS-ENT, or equivalent

Experience working with routing protocols, virtual routing instances, VPNs, and Security zones

Experience and skills in F5 (including design) is mandatory.

Cisco Firepower, Gigamon technology and configuration automation through Ansible is very desirable.

Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
