Role: Learning and Design Manager (L&D professional) Location: Crewe (3 Days week Onsite) Duration: 12 - 13 Months Status: PAYE Rate: Circa 30 - 35/ Hour This role is responsible for the ownership, design, development and delivery of a core Qualification pathway (Technical, Commercial or Product) for the global Retailer network. The role holder will design, develop manage and deliver engaging and interactive blended learning solutions to the global Retailer network to ensure training needs are met to drive performance of business goals with a robust understanding of our Brand, our Process and our Products. Experience and Skills required: - Professional experience in Product, Commercial or Technical functions (relevant to the qualification pathway)
- Relevant experience of coaching, training or similar is essential.
- Experience and delivering L&D programmes globally Or national for large corporations.
- Proven experience of researching and implementing learning methodologies to cascade Learning & Development (L&D) expertise within a team.
- Proven experience of producing effective training materials, (e.g. eLearning programmes, trainer guides & lesson plans)
- End to end Project management skills is essential.
- Supplier management experience
- Communication skills at all levels - interpersonal, presentation and written.
- Presentation authoring and delivery to both large and small audiences is essential.
- Ability to manage own and extended team workload effectively in order to meet delivery deadlines.
- Experience of working with Franchise partners and working cross-culturally
- Influencing and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, well organised and detail-oriented
Responsibility: - Drive and ensure Brand engagement and messaging in all training.
- Produce and present business cases for the right training intervention and develop partnerships and strong commercial relationships with expert suppliers.
- Represent the Retailer Academy within MoB, senior forums, Retailer conferences, training events and manage objections, deviations to plan and escalation.
- Ensure training and qualification plans are confirmed and agreed with senior stakeholders, SMEs and Regional teams.
- Define, track and manage all associated budget.
- Deliver Train the Trainer sessions for the global training team to share best practice ensuring all training materials are handed over effectively.
- Audit the quality of training across the network and action findings accordingly.
- Identify new and develop existing learning methodologies.
- Explore the opportunities to innovate for different forms of digital learning technologies and media e.g. online, film, print, eLearning, podcast, video, metaverse, VR, AR and XR etc.
- Ensure robust pilot project activity, and develop key relationships with learning technology experts, 3rd party suppliers, Retailer groups and Group Academies for benchmarking and sharing of best practice. Successfully select and on-board new supplier.
