I.T Support Engineer

I.T Support engineer required for a manufacturer & distributor of hydraulic equipment based in Nottingham. The ideal candidate for this position will either be a graduate or already be in a junior I.T position. This role is fully office based.

• Provide first-line and second-line technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Monitor and maintain company networks, including firewalls, routers, switches, and servers.
• Perform regular system updates, backups, and security checks to ensure data integrity and system performance.
• Assist in managing the company's cloud-based services (e.g., Office 365, ERP systems).

• New computer software builds (Windows and macOS)
• Computer repairs and upgrades (Mac and Windows)
• Office 365 use, troubleshooting and support
• Backup and security skills/knowledge (local, network and cloud)
• Relational database use and development (FileMaker and/or MySQL would be preferred)
• A working level of programming (PHP and web would be advantageous)

Advantageous, but not required skills

• C#, C++ and/or Flutter
• eCommerce experience
• A working knowledge of Cyber Essentials
• Networking software configuration and hardware

• Salary- 25,000- 30,000
• Based at the Nottingham office, Monday through Friday, 8:30-5 p.m., with a 30- minute lunch break.
