Senior KDB / Python Developer

Due to the level of clearance required for this role, I can only consider candidates who are UK Nationals (not just citizens) and you will be based on site in Lincoln.
I am working with a leading Software/Technology Company, seeking a highly motivated and
enthusiastic Senior KDB+ Developer to join their growing software development team in a full time role working on expanding interoperability between q/kdb+ and Python.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join a growing organisation who are committed to innovation and delivering cutting-edge solutions to their clients. Due to the nature of the the contracts, you would be required to be located at their central Lincoln modern offices, with great transport links. Remote working is not offered.

Responsibilities:
• Design, implement and optimize integrations between Python and kdb+/q.
• Collaborate with team members and external clients to develop optimized and user-
friendly solutions to complex problems.
• Keep up to date with developments within the Python community.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with client usage of our integrations.
• Participate in code reviews ensuring code quality and standards are maintained.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field.
• A strong understanding and passion for kdb+/q development.
• Strong understanding of fundamental software development principles.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with kdb+/q dealing principally with q as a data-
science language.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience developing Python applications/libraries.
• Previous experience developing C/C++ code would be beneficial.
• Excellent problem-solving skills/attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
