Location: Remote (must be based in the UK)

Salary: 60,000 + shares + benefits

Are you an experience Python Developer with an eye for engineering APIs and a desire to build an impactful career in the Tech4Good sector?

We are working with an impressive start-up that are leading the way in using technology as a means to protect the environment and the ranging species that live within it. They are looking for a strong Python Developer to join their team and become a key part in building their software product that will have a significant impact on how we understand and relate to nature.

Responsibilities:

• Create, implement, and maintain high-performing, adaptable, and dependable backend infrastructure.
• Work closely with frontend developers to merge user interface components with server-side functionality.
• Build and enhance both internal and external APIs, focusing on scalability and peak performance.
• Identify and fix issues within live production settings.
• Participate in architectural decision-making as the platform continues to expand.

Requirements for Success:

• Deep knowledge of Python frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, SQLAlchemy).
• Expertise in database architecture, administration, and optimisation.
• Solid foundation in constructing RESTful APIs and utilizing cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiar with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Genuine passion for utilising technology to drive positive environmental change.
