Title: Senior Java Engineer

Salary: 60K+

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Engineer (Java) to join their busy software development team to work closely with the architect and the team on a variety of projects

The responsibilities for the Senior Java Engineer role include:

• Performing coding assignments which provide reusable, testable and efficient code.
• Designing and implementing low latency, high availability and performant applications.
• Integration of data storage solutions.
• Implementation of security and data protection.
• Reviewing code work for accuracy and functionality
• Creating and implementing design plans.
• Analysing code segments regularly.
• Creation of APIs.
• Effective delegation to team members.
• Plan multiple projects simultaneously.
• Estimate, track and complete projects on time and within budget/estimation.
• Ability to understand the development required to enable the design requirements to be delivered.
• Adept at creating coherent storyboards for consideration and approval by the Architectural Review Board.

For the Senior Java Engineer role you will need:

• Have a strong level of experience and expertise in Java,
• Ability to lead the development and integration work with a team of developers and will be responsible for oversight of the development team.
• Demonstrate great skills in creativity and innovation
• An ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and possess excellent communication skills.
• Strong experience in Agile software development using JavaScript
• Keep up to date with deadlines and have strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• Adept with use of MySQL and various development tools
