IT Automation Project Manager

We are looking for a IT Automation Project Manager for a 12 Month contract based in Bristol (hybrid) on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.

Purpose of the Role:

The IT Automation Project Manager will initiate and manage one or more projects, work collaboratively with stakeholders with focus on applications and infrastructure, automation experience in a stand up manner through agile methodology.

As an IT Automation Project Manager you will be responsible for:

Project Management

• You will lead and manage IT automation projects from initiation to completion, developing project plans, timelines, and budgets. Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met, you will monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives.
• Applications and Infrastructure Automation- You will design and implement automation solutions for applications and infrastructure, utilizing RedHat automation tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Developing scripts and automation workflows from scratch to support IT operations, you will ensure that automation solutions are scalable and maintainable.
• Infrastructure Stand-Up- You will oversee the setup and configuration of new IT infrastructure, ensuring all components are integrated and functioning correctly. Implementing best practices for infrastructure automation and management, you will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure automation.

What we require from the IT Automation Project Manager:

Project Management-

You should have proven experience in managing IT projects, preferably in automation, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines is essential.

Agile Approach-

Experience with Agile methodologies and practices is required, along with the ability to lead Agile teams.

Security Cleared Background-

Must be capable of obtaining UK SC Clearance. ie no known blockers to this.

Third-Party Delivery with Automation Toolset-

Experience working with third-party. Proficiency in Automation tools (Red hat, Red hat automation, Ansible, Terraform, Git lab) and technologies is required, along with the ability to integrate third-party solutions into existing infrastructure. Strong communication skills to coordinate with external partners and stakeholders are essential.
