• Salary Range: £55,000 to £60,000 (based on candidate experience)

About the Role:

My client, a leading UK-based IT Services & IT Consulting organisation is seeking an experienced Wintel Engineer to provide support and technical input within the Windows/Microsoft focused team.

The key responsibilities for the engineer will involve supporting Windows (cloud & on-prem) environments for various large-scale clients - covering the maintenance, patching, upgrades, security etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and upkeep of multiple large-scale Windows environments
• Acting as technical resource for Cloud & On-Prem Windows/Microsoft technology
• Technical support for Microsoft & Windows OS and software
• Working closely with end-users, diagnosing and resolving technical issues
• Performing system maintenance, patching, release management and updates
• Owning Windows based Identity services (Active Directory, EntraID)

Candidate Technical Skills/Role Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience (5+ years) working in large scale Windows/Microsoft environments
• Strong knowledge of Windows cloud products (eg Azure, OCI tenants covering IaaS, M365 suite)
• Strong knowledge of Identity services, Active Directory, EntraID, SecureEnvoy
• Relevant Microsoft and/or Cloud certifications (eg MCSE, AZ900 etc).
• Strong proficiency of PowerShell Scripting
• Experience working with x86 technology based on Dell VXRail, HP ProLiant and Cisco UCS technologies in HCI and 3 tier architectures.
• Understanding of IT Consultancy Environment (highly desirable)
• Strong customer facing skills & the ability to support customers
