Senior Consultant - AWS

Our client, a leading VMware specialist and professional services consultancy, is looking for a Senior Consultant-AWS to join our clients on an initial three-month contract.

Responsibilities

• Migrate workloads to AWS (EC2, RDS).
• Gather requirements, design, and guide the implementation of robust cloud solutions
• Implement and manage AWS services, including network, security, storage, and database
• Utilise automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot production AWS environments.
• Manage Windows Server and Linux systems, as well as VMware environments
• Present technical ideas ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in migrating workloads to AWS
• Expertise in designing and implementing cloud solutions.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and automation tools in a production environment
• Strong administration skills for both Windows Server and Linux.
• Proficiency in VMware administration and AWS networking.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into business terms.
• Previous consulting experience with small to mid-size organisations.
• Knowledge of other cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud
• Scripting experience in production environments (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Experience with Oracle or SQL Server deployments.
• Knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipeline construction.
