Infrastructure Engineer (Azure) - Birmingham

An Azure certified Infrastructure Engineer is sought for an initial 6-month contract to assist with an Azure implementation with a client based in Central Birmingham on a hybrid basis. The organisation is specifically looking for someone with strong Infrastructure as Code skills using ARM and Bicep deployments methods. This role will assist the client as they develop their Azure environment as they start to build new and migrate existing services into Azure.

Required experience;

• Implementation and configuration of Azure services in a secure environment for both IaaS/PaaS including: Virtual machines, Web application services, App Gateway, Azure FrontDoor, API Management, Storage (Blob, File, Data Lake), B2C, SQL Databases (Azure SQL Managed Instancesdatabases), Azure functions, Logic Apps, CDN, Redis Cache, Networking (Vnet, Application Gateway)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Landing zones and well architected framework.
• Disaster Recovery Cross Region Replication Geo-Redundancy
• Azure Backup and Restore
• Generation of scripts and templates using PowerShell and JSON templates for the provisioning of cloud resources Resource Deployment via Code
• Security and governance policies using Azure monitor and Defender for cloud Monitoring and patching, security reviews and policy adherence
• Migrating on Prem services and VMs into Azure - Server 2012 Resources.
