As the lead engineer within the commercial product stream, the role is responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions that meet customer needs. The candidate will work closely with the Head of Commercial Product and lead a small team of engineers, fostering a professional and driven culture where individuals take pride in their work and ownership of their projects. Key Responsibilities - Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a small team of engineers, providing guidance and ensuring that high standards are maintained.
- Software Development: Oversee full stack development, focusing on delivering user-friendly, secure, and responsive web applications using React and other modern technologies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, back-end developers, and designers to ensure that both front-end and back-end functionality integrate seamlessly.
- Product Roadmaps: Ensure that the team adheres to product roadmaps, efficiently planning and implementing solutions that meet business timelines.
- Quality and Scalability: Ensure that code is clean, efficient, secure, and scalable, and that development aligns with best practices.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve performance and security issues creatively, while pre-empting potential problems.
