Job Title: 2nd/3rd Line Service Desk Engineer (Contract)Location: Greater Manchester, UKContract Duration: 3-month initial contract, with the potential of being extendedStart Date: ImmediateRate: Up to £300 depending upon experienceWe have partnered with an impressive education company based in North England, Greater Manchester.Role OverviewProvide 2nd/3rd-line support services as part of a team of experienced engineers to assist with the company's progression. Investigate a range of technical issues across all areas of the business, providing fixes, escalating where necessary, and assisting the wider IT teams with their investigations.Essential skills would be:
Virtualization skills
Knowledge of user account management and permissions (Active Directory/Microsoft 365/Azure)
Understanding of network technologies
Experience in troubleshooting
Experience with VOIP/Telephony solutions
Proven experience operating in an ITIL framework
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar technical role - within a technical support desk or MSP
Nice to have:
Previous experience within an educational environment.
Certifications:
Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate are advantageous.
