Senior Web Developer

The Role:

We are seeking a highly creative Senior Web Developer with a primary focus on UX (approximately 80%) and some server-side responsibilities (approximately 20%). You will lead various products and projects, working in a results-based, on-site team environment. We value good communication skills and the ability to challenge conventions. The ideal candidate will have a strong skill set in our required tech stack, an enquiring mindset, and keen attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain public-facing web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap, and C# for server-side tasks.
• Collaborate with the design team to quickly translate mock-ups and wireframes into responsive, functional web pages, ensuring SEO best practices.
• Design, build, and refactor internal tools used by our back and front office staff for customer support.
• Lead multiple projects, communicate delivery updates to founders and team members, and present/demo new features and modifications.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code, continually seek improvements, and debug and resolve technical issues as needed.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• Expert level in CSS, HTML, JavaScript (3-5 years)
• Expert level in Bootstrap and jQuery (3-5 years)
• Solid experience with C# (including LINQ, threading, and asynchronous communication)
• Good SQL/DBMS knowledge
• Good understanding of asynchronous programming techniques, e.g Ajax and threading
• Strong UX design skills with attention to detail, experience working from Miro or Figma wireframes
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and experience with VS Test Explorer/MSTEST
• Structured approach with the ability to keep Jira and Confluence tasks up to date

Nice to have:

• Engineering or Mathematical Degree
• Exposure to build environments using Jenkins
• Understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
