Join our client's Finance data and reporting office team, where you will contribute to connecting people to the energy they use safely, reliably, and efficiently. As a Data Engineer, you will have a hands-on role in the design, development, and delivery of database, business intelligence, data warehouse, and data integration solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the organisation's success. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes using tools like Matillion, extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into our data warehouse, and optimising ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability. You will also collaborate closely with data architects, analysts, and developers to support data integration initiatives and implement best practises for data warehousing and ETL development. To be successful in this role, you should have experience in relational databases, ETL, and data warehousing, expert-level knowledge of ETL/ELT tools, proficiency in SQL programming, and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively with different functional groups and levels of employees are essential. Additionally, experience with cloud-based data platforms, finance data, SAP systems and databases, and data visualisation tools would be advantageous.
